Eight focused drills. Every decision, every street.

From preflop ranges to solved flop strategy to full cash-game hands against adaptive AI opponents — every answer graded against a real equilibrium solution, not a rule of thumb.

Preflop Drills

106 solved ranges across 6-max and 9-max tables — opens, defends, 3-bets, squeezes, 4-bets. Every answer comes back with the solver’s exact frequency mix, the EV you gave up, and the 13×13 range grid.

Flop Drills NEW

1,141 solved boards across twelve real preflop lines — six at 6-max, six at 9-max. Play the preflop decision, then the flop: c-bet, face a c-bet, face a raise, or stab, with the actual solver frequencies and real per-hand EVs behind every verdict.

Live Cash Game

Play full hands against AI opponents with real personalities — tight regs, wild LAGs, calling stations, nits — that build reads on your play and adapt to exploit it. GTO feedback on every preflop decision, coach review after every hand.

Board Reading

Two cards, five on the board — what do you actually have? Name your hand ranking against the clock, then watch your best five light up. Misreading your own hand is the most expensive beginner leak there is.

Showdown Drills

Compare three hands on a shared board and pick the winner. Sharpens showdown reading under time pressure.

Equity Training

Estimate your equity against one to three opponents, count your outs, and convert them with the rule of 2 and 4 — all multiple choice, all graded against the exact number. The fastest-payoff skill in poker.

Call or Fold

A villain bets into your draw — is the price right? Make the call-or-fold in seconds. Every answer walks the exact math of the hand, with links into the built-in poker guide for the theory.

Custom Scenarios

Stuck on one spot? Build it exactly — your seat, the villain, the action, your precise two cards — and play it out for the same full solver breakdown.

Where the numbers come from.

Nothing in PokerSharp is a chart copied out of a book or a coach’s opinion. Every range and every flop strategy is the output of an equilibrium computation — and these are the exact parameters it ran under.

The algorithm

A counterfactual regret minimization solver plays each spot against itself over and over. After every pass it looks back at each decision and asks how much it regrets not having chosen something else, then shifts weight toward the actions it regrets skipping. Repeat long enough and the strategy stops moving: neither side can improve by changing anything. That fixed point is the equilibrium — the baseline GTO play.

Game & stakes

No-Limit Hold’em cash, solved at the depth you actually sit down with. One set of assumptions across the whole app, so preflop and flop never disagree about the pot.

100bb effective Blinds 0.5 / 1 No ante 6-max & 9-max
Preflop bet tree

A solved strategy is only valid for the bet sizes it was solved with, so the app’s buttons use exactly these — the size you tap is the size the solver priced.

Open 2.5bb (SB 3bb) 3-bet 8.5bb IP / 11bb OOP Squeeze 11bb 4-bet 22–24bb 5-bet all-in 106 grids solved
Flop bet tree

Twelve real preflop lines are carried to the flop — six per table size, four single-raised pots and two 3-bet pots each — and solved through to the river. Turn and river carry a single bet size on purpose: it keeps the tree small enough to converge properly, which is what makes the flop answer trustworthy.

Flop bets 33% & 75% pot Raises 60% pot Turn / river 75% pot Solved to the river
Board coverage

All 22,100 possible flops collapse to 1,755 strategically distinct boards once you ignore which suit is which. From those, 95 were drawn by a stratified sample across pairedness, suitedness, high card and connectivity — each weighted by how often it genuinely comes off the deck, so the boards you’re dealt match the boards you’ll actually face.

95 boards × 12 lines 1,141 solves 8,000+ decision points
Accuracy & what ships

Each flop solve ran to an exploitability target of 0.5% of the pot — that is, the most a perfect counter-strategy could win against it. What lands on your phone is the full solution: per-hand action frequencies and per-hand EVs, roughly 20 MB, checked against a stored fingerprint on load. Grading happens on-device against those exact numbers.

One honest caveat: a solver answers the game you hand it. These solutions assume both players know the ranges and stick to the bet sizes above. Real opponents don’t — which is exactly why PokerSharp pairs the solved drills with a cash game full of players who deviate, and teaches you to notice.

Every hand you play teaches you something.

PokerSharp tracks everything locally and turns it into insight — no account, no waiting. Back it up to your own Google Drive only if you want to.

Questions, answered.

Who is PokerSharp built for? +
PokerSharp is built for players who want to take their No-Limit Hold’em game seriously — from intermediate players studying GTO for the first time to experienced grinders tightening their ranges. All content targets cash-game play at 100bb effective stacks, with full support for both 6-max and 9-max (full-ring) tables.
What is GTO and why does it matter? +
GTO (Game Theory Optimal) is an unexploitable strategy baseline — the play that can’t be beaten in the long run by any opponent. Training against GTO ranges builds a foundation you can deviate from profitably once you read your opponents, rather than guessing from the start. If you want the specifics of how PokerSharp’s solutions were computed, the method and every parameter are laid out above.
Does it train post-flop play, or just preflop? +
Both. Train mode has a PRE / FLOP switch: the flop street drills 1,141 solved boards across twelve real preflop lines — six at 6-max and six at 9-max, four single-raised pots and two 3-bet pots each — covering c-betting, facing a c-bet, facing a raise, and stabbing after a check. By default the hand starts where a real one does: the table deals you the preflop spot on that line, you make that decision and get the full range breakdown for it, and then the flop comes down. Because these are genuine solutions rather than heuristics, the result panel can show you real action frequencies and real per-hand EVs, plus the strategy for your entire range on that board. Flop drills cost the same as a preflop hand — they are not a paid add-on. Beyond that, the Live cash game plays every street to the river with a coach review after each hand.
Do I need an internet connection? +
Not for training. All drills, range charts, hand history, and analytics work offline — no account, and no server of ours that your data passes through. The free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which need a connection to load; without one, ad slots stay blank and the rest of the app keeps working normally. Cloud Backup, if you turn it on, needs a connection to sync — but it is off by default and everything works without it.
Can I move my hands to a new phone? +
Yes, two ways — both optional, neither involving a PokerSharp account. Cloud Backup (Settings › Data) connects your Google account and keeps your hand history and settings in a hidden, app-private folder of your own Google Drive, so a second device picks up where the first left off. It is off until you turn it on, it uses a single narrow permission that can only see the folder the app creates for itself, and we never receive or hold a copy. Prefer to skip the cloud entirely? Export your history to a file from the same screen and restore it anywhere. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
What are chips? +
Chips are a free in-app counter that meters how many hands you can deal. You start with a healthy stack, claim a growing daily bonus just for opening the app, and can top up any time by watching a short rewarded ad. Chips have no monetary value, can’t be bought, and can’t be cashed out — they simply pace the free version. PokerSharp Pro removes the chip system entirely.
What does PokerSharp Pro include? +
Pro removes all ads and the chip meter (unlimited hands in every mode) and unlocks X-Ray Replay — a full-table, all-cards-face-up replay of any completed cash hand with live equities — plus the Fold Skipper training option. It’s a monthly or yearly subscription billed through Google Play or the App Store; no account or sign-up is required, and you can cancel any time from your store subscription settings.
Is this real-money gambling? +
No. PokerSharp is a pure training tool. There is no real-money wagering, no multiplayer, and no opportunity to win money or prizes. In-app chips are a training meter with no monetary value — they can’t be purchased, redeemed, or transferred. It’s a study app — built to make you better at the game, not to simulate the thrill of losing at it.
What platforms does it run on? +
Android first — currently in closed testing, with public release coming soon. iOS follows after the Android launch. A web version is under consideration for the future.
How is PokerSharp different from other GTO trainers? +
PokerSharp is built mobile-first, offline-first, and focused on learning — not just drilling. Every decision comes with concise coaching and clear EV breakdowns. Post-flop is real solved data, not a heuristic dressed up as one. The Live mode plays like a real cash game: AI opponents with distinct personalities build genuine reads on your play and adjust to exploit you, exactly like human regs would. And the analytics layer surfaces the exact hand types costing you the most, then routes you back into targeted drills. The whole thing runs offline, with no account and no subscription wall around the training itself.
